Educational Institutions in the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia

Middle and High Schools

In ‘Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia, we gain insight into the educational system of the undersea world best through Poseyda Eos‘ story. It is revealed that middle schools exist in the Argolic Gulf, as well as several varieties of high schools.

For example, the northeastern part of town is home to the Children of Poseidon’s High School, which Poseyda and Thalassa Athanasiou attended, as you may recall.

Their classes included fascinating subjects like the History of the Global Ocean, Underwater Countries, Marine Environment, Sea Flora, Sea Fauna, and Undersea Art. It sounds like a lot of fun, don’t you think? It’s almost reminiscent of the magical curriculum at Hogwarts but in the highly diverse mermaid world of Maxine Foti!

Apart from the Children of Poseidon’s High School (which was considered rather high-brow and prestigious), there were two other schools – the Sports School and the Technical School. The Sports School focused on physical education, while the Technical School offered classes on technical subjects. Michalis Zafeirou and his boyfriend Lampros Laskaris attended the Technical School, where they studied a range of subjects, including General Physics and Submarine Technology.

But let’s circle back to the topic of prestigious high schools once more. The High SEAS (High School for Elite Antemidian Sisters) is a well-known private school located in Antemidia.

Tikalie Uxmal, the former Elective Princess of Antemidia, was a student at the High SEAS. The school placed a high priority on academics, so there was little time for idle chatter. Admission to the school was highly competitive, as it was reserved only for the most talented merpeople.

Universities and Academies

Now, let’s turn our attention to universities. One notable institution is Trinity University, located in Atanga, Antemidia. Although not much is widely known about the university, it’s worth noting that Professor Abalos has taught there. Additionally, Samantha Santoro received a scholarship to study harp music at the university, thanks to Tikalie’s influence. And as you may guess, the university was named after the gods Sal-An-Syon, Um-Nah-Mel, and Ala-Ne-Ra.

The Academy of Black Pillars is a highly esteemed university located in the Hospitable Sea. Ehsan Kaspian, hailing from the Caspian Sea, studied architectural painting at this institution. Notably, Demian Khvylya, the palace painter of the Hospitable Sea, taught classical art at the academy. Demian and Ehsan’s talents are a testament to the high quality and standards of the Academy of Black Pillars.

Then, the Heart and Ink Institute, a once-prominent and prestigious school in Delshad, was unfortunately forced to shut down during the reign of Shah Parviz, Saliffa Hatim‘s father. It happened due to a lack of students interested in pursuing its highly theoretical courses. This unfortunate circumstance prevented Saliffa from pursuing advanced mathematics in her kingdom. However, Saliffa and her husband Ehsan were determined to address this issue and decided to establish their own university.

Moving on, it’s important to mention the Lambert Academy of Liberated Consciousness in this article, as it was where Jet Mir Thakur taught after running away from home. The academy is situated in Fort Bermuda, Bermuda Triangle, and named after the Lambert Dynasty.
