Lampros Laskaris is a character from Mermaid Princess Amelia fantasy series by Maxine Foti. He made his first appearance in the “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia.”
Lampros Laskaris is a nineteen-year-old merman from the Argolic Gulf. He is the brother of Elena Laskaris and just like her, he goes to the technical school.
Lampros was described as a tall, pale and blond merman. He has a lime green tail and typically wears a grey school uniform.
Lampros is an ambitious and creative person. He often surfaced to gather human trash and use the parts to make better inventions. Among his successful projects are a steampunk door mechanism and a cuttlefish pet house made from a washing machine; and among his future projects are a mermaid-tail-inspired diving outfit, and an analog computer calculating dates of Aegean Games that he was building for an extra grade.
Lampros’ family situation is quite complicated. After learning that his younger sister Elena was adopted, he struggled a lot with the news and didn’t know if he should tell her or not. He went great lengths to hide the truth from her but in the end, she learned it anyway.
Lampros is in love with his neighbor and classmate, Michalis. The two have a romantic relationship. It wasn’t explained how they got together, but Lampros seems to trust Michalis more then anyone else. He confided in him about his sister being adopted, and also about how hard it was for him, to deal with this news.
