Jet Mir Thakur

Name: Jet Mir Thakur

Mermaid kingdom: Honey Earth (Laccadive Sea)

Birthday: 19.06.1985

Age: 23 years old (book 1)

Occupation: Exiled prince and also captain of a submarine passed unto him by his grandfather.

Looks as human: He has pale skin, amber green eyes, and long peach coloured hair. He’s quite tall, and handsome. He enjoys wearing clothing made out of natural materials, such as guayabera or linen. His preferred colors of clothing, are the colors of his kingdom (yellow, golden, orange, brown), black, and white.

Looks as merman: His tail has a royal orange shade, and his caudal fin looks like that of a lotus flower.

Personality: Jet Mir is an exiled prince and a submarine captain. He is a person who lost everything he valued in his homeland – his crown, titles, possessions etc. This turned him into an ambitious and a very determined person who won’t stop at nothing to regain all he has lost. He is mostly misunderstood and perceived as a bad person, but deep down he is a caring, friendly and open-hearted man, struggling to live with the reality of losing everything. He has great sense of humor and his sarcastic remarks often make the situation crack.

Family: Jet Mir is a descendant of the Thakur clan – a powerful family from the Laccadive Sea, also known as the Honey Earth. Jet Mir’s father is an army general, and his mother is the king’s sister. As the next rightful ruler of the Honey Earth, he has five adoptive sisters; Meghna, Namya, Darsha, Kashvi, and Meevani. Darsha and Kashvi turned away from him later, and Meevani turned out to be Sawa’s younger sister, Mewa.

Although Jet Mir should take over his country’s throne, the king had his own candidate. To get rid of his nephew Jet Mir, he orchestrated a bloody massacre at his own royal palace which Jet Mir managed to escape by luck. However, he wasn’t safe anywhere else, as the massacre was blamed on him and he was exiled.

Travelling around the world in his grandfather’s submarine, Jet Mir plans to open a guardian plate, as he believes it would give him much power to take back what belongs to him – the throne. However, in order to open a guardian plate, some specific artifacts are required, which is the reason he asks Amelia for help.

Best friends: Little is known about Jet Mir’s friends. For sure, he tends to surround himself with women more, than with men. Some women that he trusts more, are Edith and Sawa.

Love interest: Jet Mir is probably in love with Edith Dvali, Prime Minister of the black sea. His affection towards her is obvious every time he stares into her eyes. However, certain people believe that there’s some chemistry between him and Amelia, or him and Sawa.

Trivia:

  • Jet Mir’s submarine looks like a giant orange crab. It’s mostly made of warm-colored metal, and cluttered.
  • Jet Mir enjoys eating fruit candies that he keeps in a tin can.
  • Some of Jet Mir’s belongings are a guayabera shirt, a briefcase full of tools, and a pair of old glasses on a golden string.
  • Jet Mir loves to bargain when buying things, and he’s good at it.
  • During his exile, Jet Mir mostly lived in his submarine, but he had travelled around the world, and visited and lectured in many respected universities, for example, the Lambert Academy of Liberal Awareness in the Bermuda Triangle which is one of the most outstanding universities in the whole Atlantic.
  • Jet Mir and his student Lara Lanorth, the younger princess of the Bermuda Triangle have a professional relationship.
  • Sawa trusts Jet Mir, and she allowed for her younger sister Mewa (Meevani) to travel with him.
