Written by Mermaid Gwen

Amelia Quintana is the 16 year old elective princess of Antemidia, a Mesoamerican mermaid state built from glass, and located in the Caribbean Sea.

After the mysterious death of the previous princess, Tikalie, Amelia is selected by General Asvald to be her successor – for reasons unknown so far.

She lives a picturesque life, but all this comes to an end when an unexpected and powerful earthquake devastates the capital of Antemidia, Atanga.

Amelia not only loses her crown, but also her best friend Araminta. Grieving the loss of her closest confidante, she meets Jet Mir, an exiled prince who promises to help find Araminta, offering a deal.

Desperate to save her best friend, Amelia acquiesces to it, agreeing to help him steal national artifacts from important mermaids around the world, to unlock the guardian plate leading to a sea secret… thought to change the course of history.

As Amelia begins the hunt – her starting place being a small coastal town in Portugal – she meets mermaids and tritons from various underwater countries. Among them is a mysterious, deceptive and emotionally frozen girl, Lumina Mond. She is a pure blood royalty, rumored to be Amelia’s sister, who’s also looking for the artifacts.

The hunt stirs up strife between the two sisters, who have just met each other, yet now, become fierce rivals. However, Lumina knows many things the team doesn’t…

Together with her friends, Amelia tries to uncover the hidden secret and facts behind two unsettling events: the mysterious illness of Leticia Alvarez, the mermaid leader of the Gulf of Mexico, and the unexpected disappearance of Kamadia, the princess of the Kingdom of One Thousand Jewels.

Fortunately for Amelia, things take an unexpected turn when she receives a strange package one day in December. Puzzled and bewildered, she realizes that the package contains information that could give her a big advantage, and soon, she’s on her way to Tamil Nadu, India.

What will she find in the nearest ocean?

Can she uncover the secret faster than her sister?

Is Kamadia still alive?

Will Leticia survive?
