Those who live at the sea, are truly blessed. Twenty minute walk and they’re on the beach. In summer, this means endless baths, tanning and relaxation, and in colder seasons – a great place for morning jogging and meditative strolls. At the seaside, you can always buy sea related décor and products, get fresh fish for dinner, and if you want to hear waves, you can just open your room’s window…

Unfortunately, the majority of us live far from the sea and don’t have an opportunity to travel there too often. This can be particularly upsetting for those who love sea and yearn to spend more time by it!

In this article, we have gathered ideas how one can always experience sea at home, even when one lives far from it. Check them out!

Idea #1 – Meditate to seaside ambients

Want to feel at the seaside in no time? Listen to sea-related ambients. They have all sound components of a seaside space: peaceful ocean waves, breeze, seagulls, shell chimes and sand…

They’re perfect to help you connect with water energies. You can also listen to them, while practicing yoga. Did you know, vinyasa yoga can help you connect to the water element? Try poses such as cobra, frog, or low-lunge. They’re related to the second chakra, which is governed by the water element.

Idea #2 – Add some marine décor

Many people would love some marine décor, but they don’t feel like throwing out all of their furniture, and making a full-scale renovation. Yesterday we published an article with easy décor ideas, such as sea-themed candles and bath-salts. Make sure to check it out!

Idea #3 – Go on a pescatarian diet

This solution is perfect, if you’re also trying to lose some weight. The pescatarian diet is one where you give up on land meats in favor of fish and seafood. It also contains eggs, dairy, fruits and vegetables, so, it’s not considered restrictive. You can find a more detailed article about it, in here!

Idea #4 – Go swimming!

Who said that you can swim only at the sea? Nearly every city has a swimming pool, and you can get a subscription card, to go there more often. A good swim will not only help you lose calories, but also relax your body and help sort out your thoughts.

Idea #5 – Spend some more time in places related to water

Perhaps there’s no sea in your town, but maybe there’s a park with a lake in it? Or at least, a beautiful market square with neon-lit fountain in the center? Those are perfect places to tune into water energy, and you may even find other mermaids in disguise, there! Check out this article on how one can recognize a mermaid on the land.

Idea #6 – Fall in love with the rain

In many books and tv shows, mermaids tend to avoid rain; but the ones from Mermaid Princess Amelia, aren’t afraid of it, at all! And neither should you. There’s nothing more refreshing than a short walk during rainy weather. Remember about proper shoes though, and don’t forget your umbrella!

Idea #7 – Learn water-related magic

Did you know that there’s the whole branch of Wicca related to ocean magic? For real! There are several rituals using shells, sea sand, or even saltwater. The practice is almost always done during different moon phases, and related to the lunar calendar. If you love the moon and feel attracted to everything mystical, give it a try!

Idea #8 – Read sea-related books

Reading is the best way to teleport yourself into another world! For this reason, make sure to add sea-related books to your reading list. There are several subgenres to choose from: pirate stories, romance about little marine towns, and of course mermaid fiction. If you love the latter one, you can’t miss “Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony!” Learn more about it in here: it’s becoming more and more popular each and every day and you don’t want to miss out, do you?
