Snacks and Beverages described in the Stories From The Undersea World Of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol. 1 by Maxine Foti

If you are a foodie and love exquisite food, this article is meant for you! The first story collection from the undersea world of Mermaid Princess Amelia revealed many intriguing delicacies, as the story characters had access to a variety of foods, and weren’t just limited to sea-based meals. They ate foods loved by humans, as well. Are you ready to know what their favorites were? Dive in, as this article will tell you everything about the snacks and beverages found in the first story collection.

When Ehsan Kaspian returned to his kingdom, Edith Dvali visited Mariam Marzani in Tbilisi, because everywhere in the Hospitable Sea reminded Edith of Ehsan. Mariam offered Edith a glass of lemonade, and when she was finished with the drink, Mariam offered her a slice of chocolate cake, too. Earlier, the two were seen eating a sweet called Turkish Delight, too.

But let’s return to the first story collection. There, we read about Nubia Khaled and her favorite beverage which was cane juice. Before she went to see her friend Hiset Imhotep, she took out a bottle of it to drink. She loved this juice so much that she was often spotted drinking it in the nightclubs during raves.

What about Hiset, then? It looks like her favorite foods were dates, as once she snuck into Nubia’s room, with a full plate of them. The dates were obviously imported from land. This shows that the mermaids did not only trade food with various undersea mermaid kingdoms, but with human countries, as well!

One day at the bazaar, Nubia spotted freshly baked loaves of bread in the market, which she purchased for her brother Nubhotep Khaled. He loved eating bread – and if you remember right from “Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony,” Amelia Quintana loved it too, she often bought breadsticks and offered them to her guests. For merpeople fresh bread is a rarity, that’s why.

Intriguingly, mermaids and mermen drink coffee as well. The first time Tikalie Uxmal saw Agosto Toscano during the vacation with her friends, she spotted him drinking cold coffee from an undersea bottle. Also, Mr. Khaled purchased aromatic coffee on land, too.

Have you read the first story collection and noticed some snacks and beverages that weren’t mentioned in this article? Write down your suggestions in the comment section, and we’ll add them!
