Agosto Toscano is a character from Mermaid Princess Amelia fantasy series by Maxine Foti. He made his first appearance in the “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia.”
Agosto Toscano is an Antemidian merman who lives in the country’s third ring, near the Gulf of Honduras (and the Roatan Island).
He is described as a young merman with an athletic, tanned body, dark hair that he carefully combs back, and a beautiful turquoise tail.
He works as a magazine scribe, and his main hobby is finball: an underwater sport similar to the Mayan ball game. Despite his athletic streak, Agosto a very humble person, to the point of being shy.
He always goes for what he wants, though, like he did when he met Tikalie Uxmal, with whom he had fallen in love at first sight. Unaware that she was the mermaid princess of his country, he asked her out and she accepted.
Even though they fell in love, Tikalie never told Agosto her real name, so he addressed her with the fake name she chose for herself, Adelaida Araujo. Even though Tikalie liked Agosto, she seemed to be more in love with the idea of a carefree life free from princely duties.
Still, their relationship must have survived, because when Lumina Mond wrote a letter to Tikalie Uxmal, she asked about Agosto. She and Samantha Santoro both knew him personally, as they were with Tikalie when the two met.
