5 meanest characters from „Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony”

Written by Mermaid Carlene

Hi folks! Let’s give the 5 meanest characters from “…the Lost Symphony” their 3 minutes of spotlight: I’ve gathered information about everyone whose words upset Amelia.

If you’re hoping to figure out something new about the real bad guys, come back tomorrow: I’ll be posting an article about the worst characters in the novel.

Ready to face the meanest characters?! If yes, dive in!

  • Irene Orlova – Irene was one of Davika and Edith’s friends, she belonged to the mermaids’ group for some time before eventually moving out to Chicago. Irene isn’t a mean person, but pain can make her hurt others. She’s so disappointed with the fact that Edith joined Jet Mir, she openly criticizes her. The meanest thing that she said was “Is your love for that unlucky prince really worth sacrificing it all?” Even though it doesn’t sound so bad, Edith was really affected. She didn’t want others to think that she was biased, making a choice in Jet Mir’s favor.
  • Kamadia De Lisle – Even though she’s a generally positive character, she had a mean streak. When Amelia told her: “I left everything and swam half an ocean to find you… I risked my life!” Kamadia replied: “Nobody asked you to.” That was the meanest thing that she said and it really upset Amelia.
  • Davika Thani – At first glance, Davika can be very friendly, charming and charismatic.  She’s the leader of the mermaids’ group, and as such, she’s very protective of her friends. Unfortunately, that also make her controlling and bossy. She’s mean towards everyone she dislikes, and she doesn’t hesitate to bully others. One of the meanest things that she had done in the novel, was to publicly humiliate Amelia, destroying her friendship with Edith. She also called her and Lumina “sea trash” which was really offensive.
  • Hansuke Hayama – Hansuke is an arrogant, angry young man, who vents his frustrations on everybody, from family to strangers. Even though he has a good reason to be (his girlfriend went missing), that doesn’t excuse his disrespectful attitude. The meanest thing that Hansuke says, is calling his twin brother a “total loser” and telling Amelia, she’s weird for liking him.
  • General Aalona Morales – Amelia hates this woman, and she’s got her reasons. She’s the type of person who can attack others for the sheer pleasure of reassessing her power. Interestingly, she doesn’t attack anyone who’s equally or more powerful than her – but rather, those that are of lower social status. She humiliates Tony in front of Amelia, calling him a “servant” and a “peasant.” Were it not for General Asvald who interrupted the situation at the right time, who knows how far the situation would’ve escalated.

If there’s anyone that I omitted, make sure to let me know in the comment section below! Also, remember to come back tomorrow for the article about the real bad guys!
