Lara Lanorth

Name: Lara Lanorth.

Mermaid kingdom: Bermuda Triangle.

Looks: Lara is described as a beautiful girl, with pale freckled skin. Her hair has a crystal-blue shade, and is quite long. When Amelia first sees her, she wears skinny black jeans and a magenta blouse, plus a silver filigree watch.

As a mermaid: She’s not described as a mermaid but judging from her looks on official artwork, her tail has the same crystal-blue shade.

Occupation:  Younger princess of the Bermuda Triangle.

Personality: Lara Lanorth is a funny and lively character. She is an heiress to a stunning fortune, and has a carefree and adventurous spirit. She believes she doesn’t fit in the royal environment, and as such is always relieved to be away from it.

Interests:Her interests are playing checkers, reading romances, and eating desserts. She also loves matchmaking her friends and asking about their love stories, although she doesn’t really mention that as a hobby. Lara loves joking, too, and she often exclaims “Mamma mia!” No matter how serious the current situation is, she can always make everyone laugh.

Family: She’s got an older sister named Lana Lanorth, and their mother is Queen Larimara Lanorth. Not much is said about them, except that, they have different personalities (less friendly and much more strict).

Best friends: Lara seems to make friends everywhere she goes. She instantly becomes best friends with Amelia and Edith. Amelia needed an ally who would accompany her to Nerland, and Edith needed somebody who would approve of her relationship with Jet Mir. Lara  turned out to be perfect for both.

Love interest: She is in a relationship with Cristóvão. However, she isn’t convinced, whether he’s the one. She jokes about the time proving it.

Trivia:

  • Lara accompanied Amelia on her trip to Nerland, and when she saw the mess in the castle, she said: “Mamma mia, they used to party hard.”
  • Lara and other Bermuda Triangle citizens are considered unwelcome inNerland.
  • Lara’s mother, had some business in Hailand, and thus, she sent there Lara. This means, she can trust Lara, no matter their relationship.
  • Lara is the first person who calls out Amelia on her crush on Taisuke. It’s also implied, Lara likes Taisuke, because, when Amelia denies her feelings, Lara says: “I will take him for myself.” It’s possible though, that Lara just wanted to make Amelia jealous.
  • Lara is not the most punctual traveller in the world and she’s got a suitcase with motor in it, to swim faster.
