Larimara Lanorth in “Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony” by Maxine Foti
Larimara Lanorth is the mother of Lana and Lara Lanorth, and the queen of the Bermuda Triangle. She had some important document that she needed to give to the ruler of Hailand (a small mermaid kingdom in the Baltic Sea). For this reason, she sent Lara on a journey to that place.
Larimara’s name was inspired by the precious light blue stone called larimar.

She is a regal and imposing figure, always impeccably dressed in elaborate gowns and intricate coiffures. She is very tall, thanks to her elaborate hairstyles, and carries herself with an air of authority.
She is protective of her daughters’ reputations and strict about their behavior, forbidding Lara from associating with pirates. She is very concerned with the logistics of the pirate attacks.
She is also a mother who cares for appearances, having carefully chosen entertainment for Lara’s birthday.
