“Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony” is an incredible story of a 16 year old mermaid princess struggling to deal with the reality of losing her kingdom and her best friend. Sad and unhappy, she meets Jet Mir who offers to help her, but on the condition that she would work for him. Desperate to see her best friend again she agrees to do his bidding.
During this course, several problems, mysteries, conspiracies and secrets begin to unravel. Relationships are formed, put on hold, and severed, as different truths begin to reveal themselves.
“Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony” is an interesting fictional book that takes its readers on a journey around the world. The depiction of characters is very vivid, the descriptions of kingdoms accurate, and the writing style – well structured. Wonder, history, mystery and intrigue combine in this compelling tale, and readers are taken on a journey to the underwater world, which is spiced up with unpredictable plots and unapologetic revelations, believable, but also imaginative.
The story is very adventurous, diverse and gripping, and each chapter read leaves its readers wanting more. “Mermaid Princess Amelia and the Lost Symphony” is very multifaceted, and captures several aspects of romance, mystery, action, adventure, betrayal, deceit, secrets and lies. Apart from this, it’s also informative and gripping, educating its readers on the premises of the underwater world.
Family, friendship, power and bonds are fundamental concepts that drive the plot of the story and also makes it an interesting read. Maxine Foti shows great values for young people, such as: courage, empathy, respect, love, honesty, trust, and loyalty. The concept of empathy is fully, accurately and precisely captured in the book – it shows that people need to understand who others are and accept who they are. Amelia believed, too, that having respect for everyone despite differences was vital for growth, and this attribute made her a powerful ruler.
I strongly recommend the book, especially to teenage girls and young adult ladies who are looking for a gripping fantasy adventure.
