Algea Nikolaou in “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol. 2
Algea appears in “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol. 2” in Jayden Ptolemeus Katharos’s story titled “Division for Mr. Xiphias.” She is part of his past in Greece, before he had moved to Santa Ana.
Algea was described as a mermaid baby who becomes the Division’s second and most challenging mission. She has a lime-colored caudal fin and an energetic, playful personality. Despite being a baby, she shows surprising strength and determination, managing to prop herself up and teeter dangerously close to tumbling out of her crib.
She develops a particular attachment to Jayden’s best friend, Theron, clinging to him and refusing to let go, much to his comedic dismay.
Her accessories include an inflatable pool in the living room and translucent plastic toys filled with water and glitter. Though she cannot speak, her actions demonstrate the needs and demands of a baby, and she requires constant care and attention from the Division members, such as Jayden, Theron, Demetra, Yannis, etc.
Algea has a mom and a dad who do their best to take care of her but they don’t always have time, which is a reason why the Division members had to take care of her.
