5 Great Underwater Photographers to follow on World Photography Day 2022

World Photography Day is an event  observed yearly on August 19, and was developed to encourage photographers to share their work with the rest of the world.

Photographers are urged to upload or display one themed shot to reflect their work each year, and they are also welcome to engage with other photographers and the photography community as a whole.

The history of the World Photography Day

The origins of World Photography Day may be traced all the way back to the invention of modern photography. Using heliography, French inventor Joseph Nicéphore Niépce obtained the first known permanent image, “View from the Window at Le Gras,” in 1826.

What you need to know about Underwater Photography

Mermaids and their mysticism is the perfect subject for photographers highlighting the beauty of the ocean as the far as the horizon goes…

But as magical as the end result of the photograph is, underwater photography is not an easy specialty to enter.

Specialized equipment and understanding of the undersea world may be required and the future photographer has to consider a lot of factors such as the weather. Unsteady and unpredictable waves can or break the overall aesthetic as they bring that certain flair and drama to it…

These difficulties doesn’t mean, though, that underwater photography isn’t an art form worth pursuing! If you’re hoping to get started, make sure to check out this article about undersea photography.
