Have you ever thought of having your own potpourri box? I did! I love potpourri. It’s nothing more and nothing less than a mixture of dried leaves, flowers and flavored spices, which are placed in some container, to give nice scent to a room.

In this article, you will find detailed instructions how to make your own ocean-themed potpourri box. First, get a wooden or glass box, which will be the container for your scented mix. There is no problem in buying a ready-made one, although it won’t be difficult to make your own, you will only need the right elements.

As for the mix, there are countless combinations: cypress or cedar wood, lavender leaves and flowers, dried lemon or orange peels, rose or jasmine essential oil, cinnamon bark, oregano or eucalyptus leaves, cocoa, dried pieces of coconut shells… It’s all a matter of experimenting and having fun in the process. If you don’t have time or patience to look for ingredients, know that you can probably order ready mixes online.

To increase the beauty and aesthetic value of your mix you can add crystals, glass beads, turquoises, jade, emeralds, and a couple of sea shells or conch shells.

Put the container and the mixture near the scented candles, and that’s it! Challenge completed!
