Mermaid Princess Amelia – Best Mermaid Book Series For Teenagers

The Honey Earth (also called Honey Grounds) is a mermaid kingdom located in the Laccadive Sea, which is between Tamil Nadu, India, and Maldives.

It is ruled by the Thakur Clan, which is a powerful family living in the zone. Jet Mir’s parents both belonged to that clan, his father being an army general, and his mother the king’s sister. Even though it was Jet Mir’s turn to rule, the king had his own candidate for the throne. To get rid of his nephew, he organized a bloody massacre, which was later blamed on Jet Mir. He escaped by luck, and is living exiled, in his grandfather’s submarine, searching for allies who would help him regain the throne.

Mermaids and mermen from this kingdom have different skin, hair and eye colors, and tails in various shades of yellow, orange and gold. Jet Mir’s caudal fin had a shape resembling a lotus flower, it was divided into many petals. Amelia comments that it was one of the most beautiful tails she’d seen.

In this kingdom, women wear sarees and decorate their foreheads with sarees; and well-situated men tend to wear golden uniforms with decorations.

The languages spoken are Hindi and Tamil.

A sample dish from the Honey Earth would consist of a fish curry prepared on an electrical grill, some naan bread and bottled mead.
