Family: Sisters Sokhanya, Kolthida and Lehatari (whom she slaughtered). Her direct descendant is Devi Raisa.

Looks: We only get to see Rathana after she became a feral mermaid. As such, she had become monstrous. She was described to have a 3 m long tail, with which she could leap forward like a snake. Her eyes turned black, and her teeth grew long, just like her nails, which were like claws. Even though her sisters tried to take care of her, she couldn’t be really taken off, and looked disastrously bad, with dirty hair containing remains of the merpeople that she ate. She also had a terrible scent, probably due to lack of personal hygiene.

Personality: Rathana used to be a good mermaid who had made a personal spiritual sacrifice, to rescue nations from several wars and famines. However, the price of that sacrifice, was so costly, it damaged her psyche forever. Loneliness and despair caused her to slowly become feral, and animal-like. She slaughtered her sister Lehatari which points out to the fact that she has lost last remains of humanity. Now, she’s more animal-like, mostly concerned with eating.

Trivia:

• Rathana’s disease can’t be reversed, neither by people’s company, nor by the sounds of Fiery Symphonies. Those only make her fall asleep and don’t improve her condition in any way.
• After the Global Ocean’s Army rushed into the Mausoleum, Rathana was imprisoned in a large cage, and later probably exterminated by some special squad.
