Trivia:

  • When Jayden calls Amelia “Your Highness,” she gets flustered and doesn’t know if he’s bullying her or if he knows, she’s the elective princess.
  • Jayden and Amelia seem to have a friendly relationship with each other, one based on respect, positive interaction and mutual trust. Later, Amelia comments that perhaps it’s cause he reminds her of Tony, her best friend.
  • Jayden’s karate partner was Taisuke, however when Amelia joined the dojo and Taisuke went to train with her, Jayden paired up with Cristovao.
  • Amelia originally asked Jayden to accompany her to the Jade Dragon Restaurant. But because he had turned down her request, she ended up going there with Taisuke, who volunteered instead.
  • Jayden has always wanted to make friends with Taisuke. Even though Taisuke is still somewhat distant, Jayden calls him “bro” and tells him, he can count on him.

He enjoys simple pleasures like reading the local newspaper and bird-watching, and he shares these hobbies with his grandson. He is patient and listens attentively to Jayden’s troubles, though he occasionally forgets to wear his hearing device. His practical wisdom often provides the comfort Jayden needs, and he supports his grandson’s initiatives, including signing paperwork for the volunteer organization. He is observant, noting the clumsiness of Jayden and his friends but recognizing their goodness. His home, with its vibrant olive groves and white exterior, serves as a sanctuary for Jayden. He drives the boys to their missions and offers them traditional hospitality, serving dakos and coffee prepared by his wife.

Jayden’s Grandmother

Jayden’s grandmother is a warm, hospitable woman who lives with her husband on Crete.
