“Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia” consist of 8 stories that contain vital life lessons. Let’s take a look at them together in this brief article!
Tikalie’s Story – Don’t Push People Because You’re Pushing On Glass
Tikalie’s story is a wonderful one, as it shows us that perfection costs, sometimes, more than a simple person can take. Tikalie’s story shows that when you push further on glass, sooner or later, it’s bound to break. After she successfully won the elections and became the elective princess, Tikalie was able to effortlessly solve the problems created by her predecessor. She was determined to be the best, and in less than a few years, she changed Antemidia from a poor kingdom to a much more powerful one. Still, despite all of her achievements, it wasn’t enough for her superiors, such as General Aalona. Everyone wanted her to do more and more. Tikalie became lonely, and slowly, depression and health problems set in. This tells readers very clearly that there is a limit to a person’s striving for perfection.
Amelia’s Story – A Good Leader Needs A Tough Personality
Amelia seems the last person anyone thought would emerge as the elective princess in Antemidia. She was just an orphan whom no one knew. Her selection as the elective princess came as a shock to many people. They even protested to express their displeasure with the decision of the Antemidian Council of Generals. But General Asvald had a reason for choosing her. Any mermaid could look beautiful in princely robes, but not all had the grit to become a leader and take the pressure. Amelia was serious and determined since the start, qualities she showed as a princess later, too.
Edith’s Story – Art Is An Antidote To Pain
Edith’s life was very sad. She hated her family because she was always being criticized, no matter how kind and dutiful she tried to be. The only safe place where she could get away from them all was during her art classes with her art teacher, Demian. Through drawing and painting, she was able to heal from her pain. Her story teaches readers that art can be a wonderful emotional outlet, as well as an escape and that through art, it’s possible to turn darkness into light.
Saliffa’s Story – When Life Closes A Door, It Opens A Gate
Saliffa loved mathematics, and she hoped very much to study it in college one day. However, she was unable to do that as her dad opposed the idea at the last moment. Despite his sudden change of mind, Saliffa refused to give in. After she married Ehsan, he told her that he could open a university in Jowhar. Saliffa was enchanted by the idea, and her story shows readers that no matter the situation we find ourselves in, we shouldn’t give up because when life closes a door, it opens a gate somewhere else.
Jet Mir’s Story – We Can Pick Our Broken Pieces By Ourselves
Jet Mir never thought that his life would change as drastically as it did during the Massacre of Mrigatrishna City. After the event, he had to leave everything behind and flee in his grandfather’s submarine. Equipped only with an operational manual given to him by his mother, Jet Mir was forced to become the submarine’s captain and somehow make it to the Bermuda Triangle with no crew. This was a huge challenge, especially since he was struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. His story shows readers that we can pick up our broken pieces and, alone, heal.
Sawa’s Story – The One Who Leaves Will Always Feel Alone
Sawa’s task was to secure a family legacy. Her deceased aunt left a house for her and requested that the mermaid perform a series of tasks before getting over it. It took Sawa almost four years to complete them all. During this period, she studied marine engineering, became a punk singer, fell in love, and traveled a lot, even climbing a volcano with her younger sister, Mewa. She had much fun, but she learned that always moving between places meant saying more goodbyes than she hoped that she would. This is a precious life lesson that teaches us not to go away from the ones we love most.
Nubia’s Story – It’s Important To Step Into One’s Own Power Even If It Means Losing Friends
Nubia might have seemed like a feeble, characterless character when described in “…The Lost Symphony.” However, her story reveals that she’s got quite an interesting personality. She’s a neurotic and highly individualistic introvert who shows bouts of tough character. She’s Hiset’s lady-in-waiting, and whenever Hiset got into trouble, Nubia was always there to save her. Yet, when Nubia wanted to change patrons to tap into her own power, Hiset was upset, and she turned against Nubia. Nubia wanted the two of them to keep being friends, but seeing that it was impossible, she chose herself and her new patron. Nowadays, there are so many people in the world who are like Hiset and who aren’t willing to support their friends. Nubia’s story shows that when one wants to reach out for their power, they will lose fake connections, but the ones that are meant to be (such as hers and her brother’s) will stay.
Poseyda’s Story – Life Is The Greatest Teacher Of All
In Poseyda’s story, readers uncover many things about the mermaid world, from learning new subjects at the mermaid’s undersea high school to outstanding underwater inventions. Poseyda’s story tells us life’s all about discovering and changing our mindset to accommodate new truths about life. It’s also about not getting attached to the way things are and letting life flow.
