The Gulf of Sidra is a body of water located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya. It is bordered by Egypt to the east, Tunisia to the west, and Libya to the south. The Gulf of Sidra is an important shipping route for oil tankers and other vessels, as well as a popular destination for tourists. It is also home to a variety of marine life, including dolphins, and sea turtles. The Gulf of Sidra has been an important part of Libyan culture for centuries and continues to be so today.
In “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol. 1,” Setenet Akhenaten‘s mother is said to be a mermaid from there. However, she must have had some Lotus State roots as well, because she has an Egyptian god as a patron, Wadj-wer – the personification of the Mediterrean Sea.
