They can be found in a variety of environments, but typically the most colorful fish are considered the most beautiful. The colors that these fish have are often a result of their diet and habitat, and also play a key role in their survival.

Most beautiful fish in the world #5 – The sixbar wrasse
The sixbar wrasse is a colorful species of saltwater fish that lives in the Pacific and Indian oceans. It is also known as the rainbow wrasse because of its bright colors. Having said this, it’s no surprise that this fish is one of the most prized and popular acquisitions for fish lovers. The sixbar wrasse gets much love because of its looks. Its small, almond-shaped body has a bright ruby or garnet red color, with six blue stripes crossing it. These characteristics and its curious eyes make it very coveted and a standout beauty among many kinds of other fish in the sea.

The parrotfish is one of the most prominent tropical fish in the ocean. These fishes tend to be very large and heavy, measuring almost one meter long and weighing almost thirty kilos in some cases. They owe their name to their peculiar beak-shaped mouth, armed with solid teeth to feed on corals, but that’s not the only reason. Another are their huge yellow eyes and their body color: varying between blues, greens and yellows. These radiant colors make them impossible to ignore.

This fish, also called dragon fish or scorpion fish, is one of the most spectacular creatures in the sea. Although it is not very big, and doesn’t like to stray too far from its lair, it is a magnificent predator. Its white skin, adorned with colorful red and brown speckles, paired with its lateral fins that spread out like a fan and its serious eyes with horn-like antennae, make it an eye-catching spectacle.
Interestingly, lionfish are not just one of the most beautiful fish in the world, they are also one of the most venomous! These small but deadly predators have spines that release a powerful neurotoxin when touched by a predator or human.
Most beautiful fish in the world #3 – The emperor angelfish
There are many species of angelfish, all full of brilliance, charisma and unparalleled beauty – however, the emperor angel is the most outstanding of them, especially because of its appearance. The angelfish is quite thick-bodied, but laterally compressed, which gives it a flattened look. The young ones are dark blue, with semicircular markings alternating across his body looking like a fingerprint. But, as they grow older, their colors become more showy: the angelfish becomes yellow-bodied with blue lines and black mark around the eyes. It’s incredibly beautiful.

This fish, also called the mandarin goby, is one of the most beautiful creatures in the ocean and the absolute star of Asian waters. These fishes have an elongated body, bulging eyes and a small mouth projected forward, but that’s not what makes them most special. What does, are their huge, colorful fins and a slender body painted bluish and greenish, with orange, yellow, green and even red stripes. Many people admire the vivacity and brightness of these small fish that stand out and attract attention without any effort.

Unfortunately, the answer is no: the most beautiful fish in the world aren’t suitable for aquariums. Certain species may be endangered; but even if they aren’t, they may require complex living conditions that the aquarium can’t provide them with.
