Paco Perlin is a character in “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol. 2” by Maxine Foti. He is mentioned briefly in Lara’s story titled “Princesses, Pirates and Traitors.”

Paco is a merman from the Bermuda Triangle, living in Fort Bermuda. He is a fourteen-year-old merman pirate merchant who runs a stall selling ragged pirate clothing in the pirate market.

He is short, well-built, with steel-grey hair and a heart-shaped tattoo under his eye. His skin glistens in the sunlight, and his baby blue merman tail makes him look more cute than scary. He dresses like a pirate in a billowy white shirt, leather vest, and belt.

He is flirtatious, playful, and persistent in his pursuit of Lara, constantly suggesting they elope together. He also offers to buy her fish burgers, an offer she prefers much better than the elopment.

He is not too heartbroken when Lara rejects him, as he quickly catches the eye of another pirate mermaid. He is a source of information about the pirate world and Reginald.
