Fergus is a character in “Stories from the Undersea World of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol. 2” by Maxine Foti. He is mentioned briefly in Lara’s story titled “Princesses, Pirates and Traitors.”
Fergus is a young merman from the Bermuda Triangle, with brown skin who serves as a local informant and spy for the royal family (Larimara Lanorth’s dynasty).
He is of shorter height and has a habit of keeping his head lowered, avoiding direct eye contact due to severe social anxiety.
This anxiety stems from being kidnapped by pirates at age seven, where he witnessed their “animalistic debauchery” but was unharmed after hiding behind a crate of sugar. He dresses in functional yet stylish grey servant’s garb.
He is later revealed to be a cunning double agent working for the pirate gang, betraying the royal family’s trust.
