These fantasy kingdoms have been well-written by Maxine Foti, and fans wish that they could live in them, because they’re so wonderful! This article is about the 5 most beautiful mermaid kingdoms as described by the first story collection; check them out!

5 Most Beautiful Mermaid Kingdoms from “…The Lost Symphony,” as described by the ‘Stories From The Undersea World Of Mermaid Princess Amelia, Vol 1.’

  1. Delshad / Persian Gulf
  2. Honey Earth / Laccadive Sea
  3. Antemidia / Caribbean Sea
  4. Bursztynia / Southern Baltic
  5. Lotus State / Nile River

Delshad / Persian Gulf

Delshad is a small state located in the northeastern Persian Gulf, and the capital of Delshad is Jowhar (which means “jewel” in Farsi). Although almost completely omitted in “…The Lost Symphony,” Delshad was well described in the first story collection from the undersea world of Mermaid Princess Amelia. It’s famous for its ink, poetry, and architecture with opulent domes and ever-present majolica tiles. The topiary garden next to the palace is a work of art; in the evenings, the garden is illuminated with a discreet network of chemical lamps, and this usually gives the place a mystical atmosphere at night.

Honey Earth / Laccadive Sea

The Honey Earth is located in the Laccadive Sea. The languages spoken in the kingdom are Hindi and Tamil (and probably, a couple of others too). Aside traditional architecture (which was inspired by the regions of Kerala and Tamil Nadu), the Honey Earth is notable for its gems and jewelries. Before he embarked on his artifact search, Jet Mir Thakur was looking for the undersea version of Navaratna – the nine famous gems of the Hindu mythology. In the collection, however, those were said to belong to the nine ocean gods. According to the legend, if these gems are strung in different orders, one can gain different combinations of spiritual powers. But Navaratna aside, Honey Earth is a beauty to behold thanks to its nature, as well. If you dive deeper into the sea, you will discover amber-colored corals, yellow butterflyfishes, and spindle-shaped parrotfish.

Antemidia / Caribbean Sea

We cannot help but include Antemidia in this list of the most beautiful mermaid kingdoms. Why? Because it’s the first place that we fell in love with, and to that, it’s also one that we know best (thanks to Amelia Quintana). Antemidia is found in the Caribbean Sea, and it’s divided into three rings, namely the outer, middle, and inner ring. The eastern borders leading into the kingdom are identified with dunes and sculpted monoliths covered with ancient glyphs. The houses constructed in the middle ring are built with yellowish coral concrete and the roofs are covered with sea grass. The inner ring contains glass houses, palaces, and temples. It’s there where the capital of the kingdom, Atanga, is located. The earthquake of 2009, hit Atanga the most, destroying the beautiful glass palace where Amelia Quintana lived.

Bursztynia / Southern Baltic

Bursztynia is an undersea kingdom found in the quasi-depopulated Southern Baltic. The language spoken in Bursztynia is Polish. Bursztynia is known for its royal gardens, which are the most famous ones in the Baltic Sea. The gardens were created by King Witold I in the 17th century, using a mixture of formal and natural design. The gardens are famous for their pink, cream, or tea-colored undersea roses, classical arches, old orangery, and the sophisticated resting square. It’s in those gardens, where the secret passage to the legendary Amber Chamber can be found.

Lotus State / Nile River

The Lotus State is an intriguing state found in the Nile River. It is notable for its pyramids, temples, and bazaars. Several colorful flowers can be found in the Lotus State, including the white, pink, and blue ones which dance in the dampness of the Lotus Temple. The presence of these flowers symbolizes rebirth. The Lotus State has many underground caverns beneath Egypt, Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan, and Eritrea. These underground areas take up to 80% of the kingdom’s total area. The Lotus State is divided into the Delta of the Nile River, which is above the necropolis of Meritneith, the Blue Nile, which is an abandoned area containing empty buildings, and the Cataracts.
